The BSRT is member of the umbrealla organisations for graduate schools at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, the Humboldt Graduate School (HGS), the Dahlem Research School (DRS) at the Freie Universiät Berlin and the Potsdam Graduate School (PoGS) at the Universität Potsdam.

 "The Potsdam Graduate School (PoGS) strives to ensure optimal conditions during the PhD phase. It offers an attractive research and funding environment for PhD students. Within the Potsdam Graduate School young researchers find opportunities for further education in different academic and non-academic fields, as well as the possibility for national and international networking.
In the course of restructuring the PhD education at the Universität Potsdam, the Potsdam Graduate School was designed as the central scientific institution at the interface of faculties and commissions. It acts as an comprehensive structure for the University's graduate education and the non-university partner institutions. The Potsdam Graduate School is a contact point for all PhD students in structured graduate programmes as well as individual PhD students."
